The mission of the Accounting Department is to ensure students
receive the proper education to accomplish the tasks an
accounting professional will encounter in this field of
employment. Upon completion of the Accounting program, students
will have developed not only the technical accounting skills but
also interpersonal and written communication skills.
The Accounting Department strives to ensure that educational
outcomes best reflect those skills demanded by the business
community. Course outcomes are constantly discussed with business
leaders and revised accordingly. Opportunities also exist to
complete Internships and Service Learning projects.

Students may enroll in the Accounting certificate program without
a degree or previous experience. Credit hours earned in the
program may be applied toward an associate degree program.
Successful completion of all three parts of the Certified
Bookkeeper exam administered by the American Institute of
Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB) is a goal of the program.

The mission of the Andover College Business Administration
Program is to help students develop the necessary knowledge,
skills and attitude that will enable them to become respected
business leaders in the community.
Program Objectives:
- To explore the areas of management and marketing through
applied courses designed to develop critical thinking and
problem-solving skills.
- To practice appropriate and productive interpersonal skills
that appreciate diversity and emphasize collaborative team play
in the workplace.
- To gather information and create a marketing plan and a
business plan as application of knowledge acquired in their
business classes.
- To become proficient in state-of-the-art computer

Travel & Hospitality Management - Associate's

The mission of the Andover College Travel and Hospitality
Management Program is to provide students an education that will
prepare them to join this industry with basic knowledge and
skills, along with a good work ethic. They will be able to
demonstrate their abilities by accomplishing the following:
Students will demonstrate entry-level competencies, including
building a PNR and defining terminology specific to this
industry. Students will promote a positive attitude toward their
desired career field, developed during the course of their
program. Students will contribute in the classroom as solid
individual learners and in cooperation with group members or in
teams.
Program Objectives:
- To offer a Travel and Hospitality Management program that is
regularly assessed by the local industry and updated based upon
the changing needs of these suppliers.
- To provide a learning environment that uses a variety of
instructional techniques both in and out of the classroom to
enhance the overall educational quality.
- To provide students with accessible library collections and
learning resources, along with the skills to utilize them.
- To provide students with work experience opportunities
through internships in the local area and in Orlando at Walt
Disney World.
- To gain first hand travel experience by participating in a
"Familiarization Trip."
- To promote a positive learning environment in which faculty
and staff are available to assist students as they reach for
their career goals.
Travel & Hospitality Management - Certificate

The Travel & Hospitality Management certificate program is a
stand-alone program for interested students, as well as the first
step in obtaining a degree in travel and hospitality management.
This program will provide the basic skills and understanding to
work in the travel and hospitality management field. Students
will complete 13 courses comprised of travel and hospitality
management specific courses along with some key business courses
and an internship.
